Tab Trade — The Short Version
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, that range is not narrow.
The Software
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders prefer it after using both.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That will round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform your assessment.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that is worth it depends on you.
